A Global Network of Growth: Kattia Juárez Dubón's Approach to Mentorship

Kattia Juárez Dubón has mentees across the globe - Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, England, Spain, Andorra, Italy, Indonesia, Japan, and many others. A Salvadoran national based in the Principality of Andorra, she's an Agricultural Engineer with an MBA specialized in Hydrographic basins and Natural resources, focusing on sustainability in motorsport. She's also an instructor in FIM seminars, which has shaped her natural inclination toward mentorship.

Mentor Spotlight

"I'm not even sure how I became a mentor; perhaps it's a result of my role as an instructor in FIM seminars and my deep-rooted passion for education," she reflects. "It's something I truly love: helping, collaborating, guiding, and showing the way forward. And above all, it's something I've collected across my life through experience, connection, and a genuine desire to empower others."

Stories That Stay With You

When asked about specific moments from her mentorship journey, Kattia finds it hard to choose just one. "Every story from my mentorship journey is truly amazing. I truly enjoy witnessing the success of my mentees - it's one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do."

The milestones are diverse and spread across continents. She's watched Idalia thrive professionally in Dubai, seen Natalia rise to become president of her National Federation, and knows that Abimanju from Indonesia has recently completed an international trip as a steward. Some of her mentees have stood on podiums receiving Sustainability awards.

"Each story carries its own beauty and triumph. These aren't just milestones - they're reflections of growth, courage, and transformation. And being part of that journey, even in a small way, is something I cherish."

The Responsibility to Keep Learning

Being a mentor has shaped Kattia's own professional development in ways she hadn't anticipated. "Being a mentor is a big responsibility. You must be a good example for your mentees and guide to help them. This motivates me to continue learning - I study more, prepare better materials, and consistently strive to improve."

Her approach to teaching reflects that commitment. "Every time I teach a class, I give it my all. Some students later become mentees, but I always do my best to share knowledge, support them, and help them grow."

The sense of responsibility of knowing that people are looking to you for guidance becomes a powerful motivator for personal growth and continuous improvement.

Sharing What You've Been Given

For Kattia, mentorship connects to something larger than individual relationships. "I believe mentorship is important because, as I mentioned before, it's both a responsibility and a personal commitment. We all have talents - gifts that life has given us - and it's important to share those talents with others."

"If we want to build a better world, we need to help each other grow. Mentorship is one way to do that. It's about guiding, supporting, and inspiring others to reach their full potential. And in doing so, we also grow ourselves."

Encouragement for Future Mentors

Kattia's advice to someone considering becoming a mentor for the first time is to not hesitate: "Do not hesitate to be a mentor, supporting others is rewarding, and it's a responsibility we have with society. If you want to grow professionally and personally, practicing mentorship is a very good way to do it."

Resources That Inspire

For women in motorsport, Kattia recommends several resources. She enjoyed Lessons to Win in Business and Life by Kelley Earnhardt, daughter of legendary NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt. "It's interesting to see the approach she takes to her experience in the motorsport world and how she applies it to leadership and business."

She encourages reading biographies of both men and women in motorsport to understand how they achieved success. For visual inspiration, she recommends the collection of films on Red Bull TV, particularly those related to Marc Marquez. "Truly inspiring, something you can apply to your professional and personal life."

As a spiritual person, Kattia also notes that her personal guide in business and life is the Bible. "I am a very spiritual person, so my most significant decisions are based on a study of various books from the Bible."

Building a Better World Together

From Andorra to Indonesia, from sustainability work to FIM seminars, Kattia continues expanding her network of mentees. Each success story - whether it's someone's first international assignment or a leadership position achieved - reflects the collective impact of people helping each other grow. Her approach demonstrates that mentorship can scale across borders and industries while remaining deeply personal.
